To the Breakthru Fitness Family, specifically; Phil, Richie, Mike and Tynan: This is just a note to say thank you to all for giving me good advice and a shoulder to cry on when I took a very bad fall down some stairs last Tuesday that caused some very bad contusions to both my outer thighs and my right wrists. Your advice of continuing on with the Loss To Win Program, using an elliptical vs. a treadmill, doing hip stretches and icing both legs with a frozen bag of blueberries is paying off. Today I went to see both of my doctors at USC and both doctors said that the advice I was given at Breakthru Fitness was the best advice that I could have received and is what they would have told me to do. The doctors check for blood clotting and what they called compartment syndrome and any fractures to my hip and pelvis and I'm happy to say that none were found. I have been a member of Breakthru Fitness for almost 11 years and during the first years with Breakthru Fitness, you helped, encouraged and motivated me to start moving after surviving a stroke at age 36. This time around you are doing the same once again, while I'm nursing my injuries from the fall. This is what makes Breakthru Fitness different from all the rest; you care about me the individual who is not an avid sportsman or hard core athlete but just an average person trying to maintain my weight, health and motivation through exercise and diet. Also, I liked to extend a special thank you to Tynan, who is such a great trainer and motivator and who has taken the time to modify the work-outs for me in our Lose To Win group since my fall. Thank you, Tynan! And I will keep moving.. Sincerely, Christine A. Gamboa |
