Breakthru Fitness is proud to offer the Parisi Speed School program for the Pasadena area. Our new facility (opening this fall) will include specialized strength equipment for speed development, a turf area for change of direction classes and a 4 lane performance track for speed technique classes. On a national franchise level, the Parisi Speed School has trained over 100,000 athletes ranging from recreational youth athletes to Olympic Gold/Silver medalists as well as professionals in the NFL, MLB, NBA and WNBA.

*Note: First class is free, and then all participants must complete a performance evaluation for proper class placement.

Levels / Ages:

  • Jump Start - JS (Ages 7-11) - This is traditionally the youngest age group in our program. The athletes placed at this level are in need of basic motor skill development and conditioning. These athletes still need to continue to improve their basic motor development, but are demonstrating the technique and coach-ability that will prepare them for the next level.
  • Total Performance - TP (Ages 12-16) - Athletes placed at this level are now able to perform the basic requirements of our program and are at the beginner level for strength training.
  • PEAK (Ages 15+) - The average age for this level is 15-18 years of age. Athletes placed at this level have a number of years of training experience and can tolerate more intense levels of work. These athletes are eligible for adult speed and strength training, depending on what the evaluator recommends.

Descriptions:

  • Linear Speed sessions - The main portion of these sessions focus on the signature Parisi straight ahead acceleration and top speed running techniques. These sessions are all begun with the dynamic warm up and conclude with the dynamic cool down.
  • Change of Direction sessions - The main portion of these sessions focus on agility and an athlete's ability to move in any direction quickly. These sessions are all begun with the dynamic warm up and conclude with the dynamic cool down.
  • Strength sessions (Small group training 4-6 kids) - These sessions focus on integrated strength training and 3-D flexibility. This combination of total body strength and flexibility is critical to producing a faster, stronger, less injury prone athlete.
  • Total Conditioning (Kids) / Track Attack (Adult) - These sessions incorporate all aspects of the Parisi program, including speed, agility and strength training. These energetic fun classes focus on total body conditioning and are a great way to get into shape and maintain your conditioning and speed throughout the year.
