great i don't know anything about pilates, and this video does a wonderful job of explaining different terminology and moves so that i can understand. there is also some modification for those who need help doing the moves. great beginner video that has me hooked on pilates for sure!! Solid Pilates Workout! I have other dvd's by Michelle Dozois and like her insruction and she is also a certified pilates instructor. I felt my abs and lower back all day! I tried the intermediate workout, but some of the moves are still a little hard for me. I know I will advance to it if I keep doing the beginner workout! I liked it! Posted by Tracy on 5/25/2004.

Checked it out, then I bought it! I liked Michelle Dozois from her tape with Tracy York-"7-Day Solution", so I thought I would check this one out from my local library and try it. I own and have done other Pilates tapes before, but I thought this one was excellent in regards to the explanation of each move. Very Good I bought this to see if Pilates would be for me and I absolutely love it. Michelle is a very good instructor. She's very personable and that keeps you motivated to progress through the workout. I'm looking forward to perfecting my form with this tape and then moving on to more advanced workouts. I really like it!! I bought this tape because I wanted to try Pilates and see if I liked it before I went out and bought a more advanced tape. Michelle is very pleasant and encouraging. She does a great job explaining the moves and letting you know that if you can't do it, just do what you can. It's nice to have that when you are just beginning. Now that I have done this tape for a while I fast forward through some of the explanations and get right to it. Relaxing I orginally got this DVD for myself, but my mom has ended up watching it more than me. She had back surgery two years ago, and this DVD has done nothing but wonders for her back. Michelle's muscular body and calming demeanor help me relax at the end of the day. My only complaint about this DVD is it's lack of real music. Music stimulates me to work harder and helps releive my sense of lonliness. I am hoping to form a body similar to Michelle's in the near future. I look forward to advancing in Pilates!
